This is one of many things which I like about Visual Studio ,it is just made for guys like me who are too lazy.
So here is a short cut if you want to make a vertical selection or write a same comment for various variables which are stacked vertically.
Select Alt and of drag your mouse cursor in order to make selection
or
beside set of lines of your code and start typing Voila !!!
The other impressive shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + V its a circular paste .try your self and you will get to know copy pasting has a new dimension to it.
use Ctrl + Shift+ } or Ctrl + Shift+{ to select the code inside curly braces
